Identified hosts? – Yes. Her name is Brittaney

Explained what the show is about yes. And was very detailed about it.

Time to topic – <2 mins. Perfect. This is about where you want to stay in your very first podcast episode. Going longer is pushing it a bit.

Good chemistry with host(s) Only one host. She interviewed two guests.

Topic(s) discussed Wolves and Sheep short film, Seattle, race, the company you keep

Audio quality excellent…No issues here. I wonder what mic she uses

Passion/personality – her passion was very clear and shines through

Gave out socials/site(s)? Yes, see links below.

Gave out schedule? No. As of now, I’m not clear on when the show comes out.
Update: Brittaney let me know on Twitter that the show will come out every other Monday

Summary: Brittaney got a lot of things right in this first episode. She had a dope ass intro, the audio was on point right from the beginning and she did a good job setting the listener up for what’s about to happen. Her words were precise and her message was clear. She did a good job on the interview as well because I felt VERY educated about the movie, why it was created (hence, why I should care), the personal aspect to it via the stories from her guests and where and how I could view it. This podcast has a local vibe to it (Seattle), but it can easily expand in the future.

Brittaney also had great show notes. She kept it short and to the point, gave out the socials for her guests and included an embedded trailer of the short film. Good work!

Good job by Brittaney! I’m expecting good things from this show.

Recommendation One challenge I had was the mobile experience of the site after I clicked on the link from Twitter. It didn’t go directly to the page with the episode.

Always remember to send people DIRECTLY to your page with the play button on it. Don’t give them the opportunity to think. Instead, guide them.

So here’s what happened…The tweet included this link: citrusroom.com. I clicked on it, landed on the front page and had to find the menu (it was at the bottom). I clicked the menu icon and THEN I got to the page with the episode. Going forward, I would highly recommend using the direct link to an episode when promoting it. Like this one: https://www.citrusroom.com/episodes/2017/4/10/wolves-and-sheep. Actually, I’d go a step further and shorten that link with Bitly. Here it is: http://bit.ly/2qhcp4e. Or hell, go two steps further and use PrettyLink if you have a WordPress site. Also, yes, you can send iTunes links, but where does that leave me if I’m a non-iPhone person? Remember, send directly to the site. If they love your stuff, they’ll subscribe via the option that suits their platform.
